Sergio..... Fried Chicken

For a start Sandy Lyle won in 1988, Tiger 1997, O'Meara 1998, Olazabal 1999, Viijay 2000, Tiger 2001, Tiger in 2005, Phil in 2006, Zach in 2007, Immelmann 2008, Cabrera 2009. In fact pretty much all of them are wrong.

But they hosted the dinner the year after - So Sandy Lyle hosted 1989 Tiger 1998 and so on!

They are all right. I'll give you a clue, the champions dinner takes place on the Tuesday night before the tournament. Has the light bulb come on yet? ;)

Edit - Beaten to it :)

The winners hold their selected Champions dinner the following year..................We talking about the dinner not what year the players won the Masters.

Could he now have bigger problems with a main sponsor?

Didn't Tiger serve fried chicken at The Masters Champions Dinner one year?

No, indeed he didn't. Having read a bit more about this, I think my brain mixed it up with Fuzzy Zoeller's comments in '97, which I'd read about before but forgotten.

It's sad that Sergio has apologised "for any offence caused" rather than for the actual words he used. It's a modern phenomenon, to apologise for the reaction of others, rather than for the thing that caused the reaction.

I'm struggling to keep up today. He has now apologised for what he said.

Things just got a lot more racist-ier.

If Segio said he was going to make me some haggis should I be offended? Just wondering because I like haggis :D

Is all this talk of fried chicken making anyone else hungry? I for one will be getting a bargain bucket-ier tonight me thinks.

No not really, there is no racist connotation there, it's just a traditional Scottish dish. The same can not be said to be true of associating Afro-Americans with fried chicken unfortunately.

It appears he may have with on going considerations and a severe dressing down all ready, although all the tours have accepted apoligies not sure TM will go easy on the situation. This is going to run all week....

Fuzzy lost sponsors at the time of his quip.

Will the camera's focus on spectators wearing fancy dress chicken suits or heads, British humour at its best, beats yelling "get in the hole"!
