Its being reported that Sergio in reply to a jokey question about having Tiger to dinner during the US Open at Merion replied he was planning to invite him every night and serve fried chicken, appears he may have put his foot in it with comparisons being made to Fuzzy Zoeller and Steve Williams suggesting racist undertones.
To my mind its an attempt a humour maybe not a good effort but doesnt portray far right views although many others opinons may differ.

Seems he runs off at the mouth when questioned about Tiger these days. His best answer would be "no comment" from now on. Having to add a statement later to apologise about your comments is gonna come back to haunt him for quite a while.

Don't these guys have agents and advisers, after all, its not like they can't afford them!

If your not prepared when a question is asked, its simply No Comment!

If Sergio wants to have a dig at Tiger the best way to do it is beat him in a Major! At the moment hes have a pop at someone thats a better player, better at gamesmanship and overall mentally stronger. I have to say that I'm not a big Tiger fan at all but he's def winning this little war at the moment simply by not saying anything! :p Less is more.

Tiger and Sergio hate each other, there is no love lost between the pair of them.

I'd go over to Sergio's for fried chicken if it was on offer. Stupid comment. Is it racist, I guess its how its perceived.

You never know, he might have said is because he knows Tiger hates fried chicken!!!!

Surely it is in Garcia's interests to drop this whole issue now, the more it rumbles on the more spotlight will be put on his own course behaviour which is far from spotless.

It seems that Sergio is an idiot. Racist? Maybe, it could certainly be taken to be. Idiot? Yes.

I do love me some southern fried chicken. Mmmm mmm. That's lunch decided.

A lot of fuss over nothing !

Only one person would know if it was ment as a racist comment and that's Sergio, he said it wasn't so just let it go and move on.

Right I'm off to KFC to get me some chicken.

Yeah, cos obviously he would just come out and admit it was meant as a racist comment wouldn't he ;)

Agree Sergio should take a leaf out of Tiger's book and keep quiet, to be fair Tiger doesn't need to say anything Sergio's hanging himself out to dry!

Yep, don't get me wrong there is no defending Tiger's behaviour at times but this thing has been blown out of proportion by Garcia, Woods has had his story backed up by various sources but it doesn't excuse him as he needs to be more aware on the course in that situation instead of relying on marshalls

I see it more as a stereotypical comment rather than racist. But certainlya stupid comment

On a lighter note just heard a 24hr KFC opening near me, i'm going to rinse it of Fried Chicken and gravy

Maybe Tiger actually really does love fried chicken and eat's a lot of it and that's the actual "joke"? Who knows, but it's certainly something about nothing and Garcia should just be saying "no comment" instead of getting into saying these pointless comments.
