Really? Deciding a senior Major in conditions where you can't possibly read a putt and where Wiebe made a comment after one shot along the lines of anyone see that, I have no idea where it went. Just totally devalues the tournament to treat it like that to me.

Neither situation is ideal!
But I'd say from the amount of available light in this pic, http://www.europeantour.com/seniortour/season=2013/tournamentid=2013858/news/newsid=201310.html they gave it every chance! It would have been ridiculous for it to be won by a 'lost ball' that they simply couldn't see!

Darth, I'm not sure I follow the logic that because I value the integrity of the tournament then I have no idea about the cost and disruption that 1 hole of golf may potentially cost. My comments were based on the thinking that if you are going to decide a Major tournament then you do it in an appropriate manner. That shambles looks like the sort of thing you hear about when a few members fall out of the men's dinner a little the worse for wear and decide it's a good time to have a wander round the putting green while they wait for the significant other to collect them.
If you want to point the cost and disruption finger, might I politely suggest it is in the direction of whoever didn't check the weather forecast and wasted the hour and forty minutes before the 8.40am first tee time (they teed off at 7am on days 1 & 2) which could have been used and would also allowed a proper 4 or 5 hole play off as per the Open rather than the sudden death format.
