We would have been more than happy to take the lead on free prescriptions and hospital parking, and don't forget free university education. Don't get used to it though if you go independant as we wont be paying for it anymore.

Take it that was at the royal then. Charges will stop there too when the PFI contract runs out with the current provider.

Our main hospital is St Johns in livingston and parking has been a nightmare since the charges was scrapped. Nearly all buses from West Lothian to Edinburgh run through the hospital and the hospital car park is a handy free car park for commuters heading into Edinburgh
