With only a month to go to the re-match i have heard a rumour that Team England, after seeing the quality of the Scotland Select 16, have made a bold move to ensure the cup stays South of the Border.

Seemingly they have aquired a golfing superstar, (a Titan of the GMF) and installed him as Official Non Playing Captain/Coach to guide them to another victory.

My scource wouldn't be drawn on the persons actual name but indicated that he is a wee bit controversial, loved and ridiculed in equal measure and is the innovator of a swing technique which enables you to hit the ball unprecedented distances.

Apparently he shall be holding a Swing Dynamics Session for team England on the morning of the 7th at Goswick Practice Ground followed by a Team Talk and a quick Seminar on the mental side of the game.

Can anyone confirm this - and who is this man?

They ain't taking the bait - was also hoping to flush out the enigmatic TG into the process. I miss him ! :(

Thats the game, fill their heeds full of pi$h before they play.

Don't worry, the Official Starter on the 1st tee will do that............

"Just be aware of the OB all the way up the right hand side gents"

 :D

Added to which Crawford is playing rubbish, Dodger's gone into management (and we know what that does to performance), and Frazer is back in the team (can he play Ivan again, please).

I'm sure Fraser would be right up for it - he's been given constant abuse for the last 2 years re 10 & 8 howler - time for him to show what he's made of. He's playing some good stuff at the moment - reckon he will do pretty well.

Fraser........ 10 & 8 ..... thought I'd got over that.

Where's my whale sounds CD

2 years of therapy and you've ruined it with one sentence

Thought you southerners would be drinking tea a scratching your knackers ;) ;)

It was glorious sunshine last year (well as glorious as sunshine gets that far North anyway). Grumpyjock never even bothered with a sweater but I am not sure that he ever does even it it is -10 degrees. Still not going to practice though, why waste my good shots on a practice ground when they can be used to help the inevitable English victory.

Here's to more sun and no rain this year.
