I love cooking and do most of it in our house but I've hit the wall lately.

I'm looking for something new to cook, order in or go out for. I can do all the usual stuff but I'm bored with it (curry, oriental, Italian and good plain British stews, roasts and casseroles with all the usual fish and meats etc.)

Anyone discovered anything 'new' lately? I remember my first Indian curry - it was a game changer for me but I don't think there's anything yet undiscovered that will blow my socks off in the way that did.

Unless of course you know different?

We did a Catalan stew the other day from Mary Berry's current series book, it was delicious, especially the 2nd day

I cook random recipies that come up on Twitter etc. Cooked a great chorizo, chick pea and potato stew the other day. Only took 20 minutes

Found some venison in the back of the freezer last week. Missis T will be coming home from work to a venison dish next week.

Did a roast haunch the other week then stuck the leftovers in the slow cook with a rich stew. That was spot on

You could try fish & chips. I heard it was quite popular before all this foreign muck came in :D

I make breakfast sometimes. When I say I make breakfast, I make toast. OK I put bread in the toaster, and push a lever down, but I butter all by myself.

Sometimes I think there is no end to my talents.;)

I have a recipe for toast somewhere, I must try it sometime...

A few weeks ago went down to local Korean place... Absolutely brilliant meal and not London prices either. The place is always rammed with people from Samsung and LG and can't get a place. Recently they decided to expand into a new premises ..

Lebanese food very good. Some fantastic restaurants in Earls Court and lot of recipes around online now
We got a Lebanese place... only option is to do a take away on a Fri night, because it is absolutely rammed. Great food though.

It's fantastic. Keep trying to get HID to try it but she isn't that adventurous and would want to know what she's eating and then probably wouldn't bother. I'll keep chipping away at her though
