Anyone playing in the Saltire Trophy? Very tempted to see if there are still spaces available but don't know anyone else playing.

Sorry for slow reply.

They have spaces left and scores don't automatically get submitted for handicap to your club so you have a choice.

How does that work? It's either a qualifier or it's not, you don't get a choice.

Isn't it the responsibility of the host club(s) to report the scores? Not doing so makes a mockery of things as you could end up with players just reporting the scores they want. In fact, I'm not even sure if your home club would accept a score without something from the host club showing the score and CSS.

Not necessarily, no.

Played two opens of late.

1 submitted score to my club at mu request. Had to chase a lot and it was a ball ache.

Other emailed me a letter with score, css etc and I had to submit to my club myself.

No great shakes.

100% agree!

Some scary greens when the 'breeze' is up though! Pretty common to see the ball oscillating on the exposed ones! Had my 1st HIO on the 13th too!
