Used to love a Thursday when the weekly papers used to arrive. Always had a copy of Roy of the Rovers for me. Gutted when it finished.
My favourite was always the goalkeeper Rick Stewart. Spent hours colouring in the black and white strips and pictures during school...A good save was always known as a Rick Stewart in our endless hours playing football as kids.
When I used to buy a paper for sports it was always the sun but the first page I went to was always the Striker comic strip. Haven't bought a daily paper for years so I have some catching up to do.

Any other ROTR's fans and what was your favourite story?
PS I bet there was a few secret Bunty readers here. I remember the day I caught my friend readings his sisters Bunty.
