evening all

quick post before I turn in for the night. Just got back home from Delamere Forest in Cheshire where I played in the Regional Final of the Golf Club Secretary Open Championshipp - a national event for secretaries and managers that GM is involved with

After a great day with TonyN and VIg at Hoylake (boys thanks again for the great company and the v generous bottle of whisky that I look forward to cracking open soon!)I went to meet some of the GCS mob at a great pub in Cheshire called the Cholmondeley Arms (http://www.cholmondeleyarms.co.uk/)which I can highly recommend. Had a nice meal and slaked my thirst with some top local beers - pick of the bunch was one called Weetwood.

Anyway more good weather day for the golf today and I finshed off the Northern leg of the road trip with a gross 77 (5 over) for 39pts and 1st place.

To say I'm chuffed is a massive understatement. Could have been even better as 3 putted three greens, missed three consecutive bride putts of less than 10ft and finished 6, 6 at a short par 4 and a reachable par 5 where two birdies could have had me round in level par - something i have never done before. A touch of the Greg Norman chokes I feel!

The last 7 days have been awesome and round things off in the GM team day at Kingswood tomorrow.

Then have to give the immense Range Rover Sport back on Monday and back to the real world.

I have posted a few more pics on http://twitter.com/GolfMonthly
