So today we have had to say goodbye to one of the greatest musicians the World has known. A genuine humble guy who played the guitar like he was born with it attached.. He got me into the Blues when all my friends were heading for Clubland.. A decision I'll never regret...

RIP Mr King.. You'll be missed..

Dont know any of his stuff apart from when he teamed up with U2 on "When Love Comes to Town." There's a great bit in the Rattle and Hum film where he and Bono are having a chat about song writing.

I love the bit where he walks on and says "Someone else is gonna have to do the chords, I'm rubbish at chords". One of the greatest guitarists of all time and he can't play chords :D

He was a truly unique talent, reveered by all the world's top guitarists.
A real, genuine legend.
He may be gone but his music will live on forever.
He'll be sorely missed ...................... one of my own guitar heroes.

Goodnight Mr King, sleep well.

Spent a lot of time in my younger days learning his style. Totally unique and you only needed to hear one note to know it was him.

Sad news.
