Lesson learned on that one. School boy error on my part.

To be honest I didn't expect to get more than a handful of volunteers...so was quite surprised.

I have sent a note to Mike to apologise for any inconvenience and we'll put up a decent prize for one of the meets next year too!

Hi Steve. No worries and you weren't to know how many volunteers you'd get. Peeps have a choice to read or ignore the thread so it's not a hassle if you ask me. I plan to have a proper look at the site when I have the time and will PM you my thoughts.

Oh before I go, I think Smiffys "for sale", thread in the "forum feedback section" should be put back in the Lounge. The lounge gets way more hits than any other section, should be debated by everyone and it is a good idea.

I could probably answer this as it's common sense really, but a mod can confirm or deny.
I'd imagine as I'm not asking to buy something from someone on the forum but only looking for information on where one could be found might be the reason!

I'm quite happy for your putter request to be in there.....trust me. But some get moved and others dont.

Tommo, some threads get moved as they are blatantly off topic, others because they were reported, some have not been picked up because they have not yet been picked up by moderators.
Nobody claims to be perfect, questioning the odd decision is fine, prolonged post mortems are not necessary.

does it really matter?

I look at threads via the "new posts" button.
Half the time I neither know nor care which section I'm in.
