Hi,

Anyone have experience or good www to buy the above?

There are lots of "refinished" balls on ebay but as I understand it, refurbished is of a higher standard but they seem a lot scarcer.

On NXT Tour you could pay:

£20-25 New
£12-15 ReFurbished
£8-12 Refinished

So Refurbished would suggest a saving of 40%!!

Wouldn't touch them. It's psychological, when you get on the 1st tee with a card in the pocket you want everything to be just right, that includes a new pristine shiny ball. If you are playing a used ball then, subliminally, when it doesn't stop on the green or veers left off the tee then a little voice starts questioning the equipment in use, including the ball which will be worn if refurbished, probably bleached by the seller which will affect the grip of the soft cover. Anything but blame yourself for the duff shot!
I want to eliminate all reasons for not playing to my best ability before I set out, that includes playing a brand new ball. Tht's just me.
Probably stupid of me but golf is 75% a head game and you've got to be in the right mind set to play well!

Avoid like the plague. Have found a few refurbs in the woods, and they don't play like the real thing. They also scuff up very quickly, and look tatty.

Also, with a new ball, you concentrate, because no one wants to loose a one hit wonder. If balls are cheap or tatty, I tend to spray them around like I have the worlds supply at my disposal.

I'm with birdieman on this one, new and shiny is the way to go.

I agree stay away, I brought some refurbished PRO V1's a couple of hits and it looks like the paint is coming off them. No longer shiny and white but scuffed and yellow, not the bargin I thought they were.

I'd agree with the majority- stay away. Your better off buying a new mid range ball than a refurbished top of the range one.
