Afternoon gents,

Rest assured, this future junior doctor is hard at work revising for my finals starting on Thursday. I'd be on the picket line if not! Had a thought whilst making a brew though. I'm rapidly collecting old gloves, as every time I think about throwing them away, it seems like such a waste and they get shoved back into the bottom of my bag.

Does anybody know of a place/service/website that recycles old gloves? There must be some use to be had from them rather than occupying space at landfill.

Right, back to revision. It'll all be over soon!

By the time I throw away my old gloves, NOBODY would want them. Dirty, sweat-stained, and in one case (which I am actually slightly proud of) worn so thin that you could actually make out the fingers beneath. :D

Mine always end up ripped with big holes in the pad of the hand and also often tip;s of fingers. Bin is the only place for them - or should be except I tend to keep about three in a plastic bag in my golf bag - 'just in case' my glove and spare get too wet.

Spray them with silicone, and if you ever qualify as a surgeon, use them for one handed operations. Seriously mate, this may be an issue, and if your not careful your house will end up full of boxes and old junk. My first suggestion would be to see a psychiatrist, and my second would be to chuck the gloves in a bin..HONESTLY !!

Haha I expected a wee bit of ribbing, I thought someone might know of somewhere that shreds them up to make some sort of raw material for something, wasn't expecting to give them as a whole glove to a needy third world golfer full of holes and crispy sweat! :D
