Hello all, I'm new, but have been trawling for a while, it's a great site :)

I have a question - my wonderful Ping Eye2 woods need refinished, paint is flaking, grooves are depleting and they generally look bloody awful.

Can anyone recommend a good finisher around the London area?

Also, I should say, cost is an issue...

Hi, thanks for replying. Yep, proper Ping Eye 2's bought by my Father new around 30 years ago and I've been playing with them for 10. I love them, but they're starting to look tawdry!

I live in North London and play Trent Park and some other courses in the area. Not a great golfer but I can stand to around 15 on an average day.

I found a site named www.usedpings.co.uk, I've emailed them to see if they do refurbish jobs, but if anyone else can recommend a good repair shop I'd appreciate it.

Proper refinishing will not be cheap, but the clubs will come back like new. It would be cheaper to buy new however. Most traditional pro's were taught to refurb wooded clubs.

I hear you...I had a good look around before deciding on refinishing and just didn't ike the feel of any clubs I picked-up. If the refinishing will keep them for another 10 years or longer I'd be very happy with that.

no reply to my PM here/email to their website (I presume it's the same people) to alchemygolf, if anyone can recommend another shop I'd be much obliged.
