Aztecs: - I agree about BOB, stunning series, I watched it all religiously and it was some of the most compelling viewing ever, particularly 'Bastone".

Have you seen 'The Pacific' yet ?
Not quite as compelling, but bloody good too..

Not watched all of "The Pacific" yet but I like what I've watched thus far but it's not a patch on BoB.

As much as I liked Greenzone, I was a bit disappointed it wasn't better (if that makes any sense at all!!)

I'm regularly renting a film a week at the minute. Loving it.
 
Terry Gilliam's Brazil is always worth a look.

I've also enjoyed recently:

Gran Torino, No Country For Old Men, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (swedish version with sub-titles)

Saw it last night. Very good, although a bit confusing.

I rather enjoyed "Shooter" and "Inside Man" of the recent bunch (from LoveFilm). I got "Eden Lake"...not recommended at all nor "Sunshine"....rubbish.
 
Boiler Room is another "oldie but goodie" I would recommend.

Starring Vin Diesel (bare with me! :D) and Giovanni Ribesi.

It's a bit like a modern day "Wall Street" (based on Stock Brokers), but alot more gritty and intense. Not very well known but one of my all time favourite films.
 
I watched Beneath hill 60 on the way back from HongKong. For a low budget Aussie flick about tunnelers in WW1, it was pretty good. Best watched in a dark room though, as alot of it is shot under ground. Good film though, and a bit non mainstream.

If you liked that try Glengarry Glen Ross.

Great film about "real estate", Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin etc etc.

Just wait for the "Brass balls" speech :D
