Looking for some inspiration for top films to download to watch while away soon, so thought I'd ask for some suggestions & reccommendations please....

I'm a fan of the 'slowburning' type, and cant stand the Terminator kind of stuff, so some of my favourites would be ....
The Hurt Locker
Heat.
Dances with Wolves.
Shawshank Redemption (of course)
Road to Perdition.
Gladiator
Saving Private Ryan

I was not a big fan of the Sherlock Holmes film. I saw it about the same time as the BBC series and felt that it did not compare well.

Saw a recommendation for Kick Ass as really enjoyed that, great mix of a number of genres.

Looking at some of the films you like, would try Master and Commander, great film.

Blood diamond is still a good film, but a tad old.

Shutter Island is probably the best film I have seen in a while. Also starring Leo Di Cap, but he is starting to prove he can act a bit.

I would second Law Abiding Citizen and Unthinkable as well.

Watched Unthinkable over the weekend, absolutely awesome.

If you like Saving Private Ryan, get the whole of the "Band of Brothers" TV series. Without a doubt the best TV series I've ever watched. Just incredible.
