Barney, I haven't done it myself, but I believe they send you a random piece of kit (clothes, balls, clubs, bags, whatever) through the post, and you get to review it over a short period, and then keep it/return it as you/the manufacturer wants.

Bang on murph! I got a yonex putter to test and keep. Didn't put it in the bag but it is a great putter. I leant it to Rguk for the winter as I would of felt guilty selling it.
