What an amazing package.

A colleague of mines wife has won the Ray Mears trip to Canada on this mornings auction!! £22K. He didn't know about it!

The F1 trip went for £35K.

Any guesses as to how much the Justin Rose one will go for on Thursday morning?

I heard that it was a bit of a surprise to him and that they are now "unable to make it" and have backed out.

I know this is a little off topic but it has really p'd me off.

For years now some of the women (and a few guys) have made and sold cakes in aid of children in need, and raised not a few quid in doing so.

This year an edict has come from on high.
- They are not allowed to sell home made items, only those of proprietary manufacture or made by the on-site catering company.

don't know whether this is pc, h&s or plain old crass commercialism but it makes you want to weep!
