Guess what I heard today from a very reliable source!!!!! :D

Launched in March 11, replacement being touted already, thats why I'll never own TM bats. Also believe the Superfast 2.0 in white is bye bye!

New Penta also on the way.

Was a bit surprised to find the titleist 710 irons were being replaced, til I thought that next year is 2012. Waiting for the 912 driver, now I have just paid full price for a 910.

Tm are worse though.

Thats Tm for you.
The R11 will be a great buy for £150 quid.
I wonder what the unique selling point of this one will be.
I can picture it now "longer and straighter".

It's no big deal for R11 owners as the technology won't have jumped forward too far and for those who ilke to sport the latest gear it's a Godsend as they can upgrade yet again to a new shiny.

Great for those like me. Who like to buy last years model at half price. Still the same great club, Got the R9 for £99 plus a doz ProV's thrown in. Good eh. Oh by the way yes I am tight.

I'm a big TM fan and do think they make great stuff but they do shoot themselves in the foot from a PR point of view and probably from a customer loyalty standing too with all these new releases. The R11 irons are due out imminently and yet look very close to the MC range already out and they clearly don't work to the same sort of 2 year product cycles Ping and Titleist etc do.

The Penta ball though has been out a while and so from that point of view, a new version seems perfectly acceptable even though I don't actually like it as a ball. I'm not surprised the Superfast is allegedly going. It makes a hell of a row when you hit it (think the old Nike Sumo) and I'm not sure how much of a seller it has been. I've not seen many in bags as everyone wanting a white driver has gone R11
