Quick bounce question?

I was just thinking about pitch shots off of wet soggy fairways? Would I be better off opening the face of my SW (11 degrees of bounce) rather than taking the lob wedge which only has 4 degrees.

Just random musings of a mad man......... :D

I would suggest the blob..... I mean lob wedge, less chance of the Barclays (Thanks Smiffy)

the tighter and harder the fairway the less bounce you need or want

but is the converse true? ie wet and soggy = more bounce
Not really Steve.
If you open the face on a SW, you have to be able to get the leading edge under the ball which is much easier on lush, fluffly grass
