Thanks for the answers in the thread. I’ve also got a new electric cooker and wondered what “hardwired” meant in this context. The only hardwired I knew before was the Metallica album

Connected directly to the cooker control switch permanently, NOT using a 13 amp plug top.

Or to a spur point behind the oven/cooker thats controlled by a switch rated at 20 or 32A
