Have been putting in the corridor at home for past 3 evenings.
Been trying to do 10 putts in a row before you are allowed to give up
Managed 10 3ft putts on Sat, 10 4 ft putts on Sun, and tonight managed 10 5 ft putts in a row.
It's very pressured when you get to 8 and you've buggered up several times already at that number.

Anyway, the 5ft putts came really easy today, so i am seeing progress really quickly - much more so than the 2 or 3 trips around the putting green .

really pelased - hoepfully i can stick with it, and hopefully it will come good on the course as well

Presumably most of you guys can beat that easily ? I'm still quite pleased, as short putts is a bit of an issue for me

If I go to the club to practice I do this on the 18th green with folk watching from the clubhouse 3 x 2ft, 3 x 4ft and 3 x 6ft start from scratch if you miss. Normally need to give up when it gets dark though

I prefer to use one of these on the putting green at the club http://www.amazon.co.uk/PUTT-PUTTING-TRAINING-AID-REDUCER/dp/B000FFYITO

I tend to try and make 5 with the larger hole in place from the 3 foot mark. The tiny one is very tight and only really useful from 1-2 feet but you have to be dead centre. Once you take the reducer away the hole looks huge and is great for confidence

I have also been practising at home due to the rain and also my new Odyssey 7 putter

My feel for this putter is now very good ( always takes a few times when changing )

But i am still between putting techniques

1. old style elbows out, deadly at 6ft or closer suiting straight back straight thru etc
2. long distance 20 ft elbows in very good accuracy and holing 5/10 attempts

So i know i should change to the elbows in style but its hard when closer up the results speak for themselves and i do not want two styles on the course
