Well here's my 1st Question...
My putter is 20 yrs old, As I mentioned in my previous intro I am just returning to the game.
Anyway, my putting is REALLY BAD!! I do intend on taking lessons but my main question is would a more modern club be of much help or is this solely down to my naff technique?

Imo It maybe a little of both, your technique may need work and with technology moving on from 20 years ago in terms of softer feeling faces and alighment aids. You may help yourself with picking up a putter after you have tested it at a local shop, It doesnt have to be expensive just something to give you move confidence as it seems you don't have that with the older putter.
