Putters on the naughty step? Fancy something new

I hate this attitude my putters not working buy another one, just learn to putt rather than change your putter it will save you a lot of money in the long run.

All putters work the big companies spend a fortune on R&D.

I bought my current putter cause I liked the look of it on TV and its been it the bag every summer for the last 5 or 6 years, I have had my winter putter for about 20 years.

Freddie, I love the vp1 but while confidence is shot with it I know it's no fault of the putter, I've had rounds with 26/27 putts with it and I will again. But while the greens are slow I fancy something a bit different rather than having a winter and summer stroke!

If you play a course where the greens are really different in the winter I think that is a good idea

I use a Ping Zero 4 in the winter and an Odessey no. 7 in the summer, this works for me as I can manipulate the putter head on the zero 4 for bobbly patches and they are so different that it stops me loosing confidence in my main putter while trying to put on slow bobbly winter greens

That's the plan , the vp1 milled is so soft that come the winter I feel I have to smack it to get it anywhere near the hole, it's worse on long putts. I had the #7 and was always past the hole so sold it,but this was on summer greens. Actually wished I'd kept it for winter. Oh hindsight!

Will say as effective as it was, it was one fugly putter!

Baz, don't know if you can get up to Canary Wharf, but if so, the Golf Lab in the Reebok gym are selling their last remaining putters for £45!!!! PM me if you want more details
