Putter

I have never ever putted better than I am doing at the moment with my Odyssey white hot no7 fang. Balance is second to none with a great roll off the head. They will have to prise it out of my hands on my deathbed.

I recently tried a Cameron fastback and nearly bought it on the spot loved the feel and balance. Whatever you get try to look at all the different brands if you can.

Way too subjective to get a definitive answer. Only you will know what looks and feels right for you. It'll depend on your stroke (back and through, in, square, in etc) your preference for a mallet or an old fashioned blade and the length and type of face.

From a personal persepctive I've tried many different putters over the years. Some have lasted longer than others but I'm putting so well with my odyssey No 9 that the only time I can see it changing is if we get very, very wet greens and I need something with a bit more weight and then I'll go back to either the itsy spider or the TM Rossa

Just make sure that whatever putter you chose "fits your eye" you'll know what I mean when you find the right putter or style of putter.

far too individual a choice. me I don't like a lot going on behind the face (Odyssey two-ball) then I get a Rife 2-bar blade - go figure. I prefer a centre shaft because it makes sense to me - more hit, less hinge; I like a putter on the heavier side.

you just have to try a lot - on grass. it's not a lot of use nailing them on a mat in AG.

On your latter point...I was going to golf in Spain and was buying my last minute things. I noticed a golf sale and off for a wee look. Putting was 'iffy' so over to their putting section and tried out the one's that caught my eye, on the mat. OK so far!! I then spied a long handled beast, never tried one before and hey!! Every putt a winner..6 out of 6 every time! Did my hasstle re price and off home to pack with new putter BUT too long for golf travel bag. Take as hand luggage only way. Nursed to Spain in the safekeeping of the cabin staff and this birdie finder was unfurled at the course the following morning with much anticipation.

You've guessed it..it was a lump of metal on the grass!!

I am sure it now has a Spanish accent as it lies at the bottom of the pond listening to the locals pass by, hoping some day I will return and repent!
