So, i was moaning (not really) on Sun about losing our winter 4BB final (in particualr the 4 chips ins we had to compete with).

Turns out my partner suffered a big heart attack that evening, and even more shocking, the doctors said that he had actually had one on Friday afternoon as well.

Pretty impressive that he managed a couple of birdies in between that ! We feel we should be entitled to a re-match - (he'd be pleased with the humour. )

But seriously, makes you think what's important

I'm told he's winding up teh nurses already :)

Sorry but after tonight I want 300+ yard drives.. :)

In all seriousness, I wish your pal all the best and yes, death is in our shadow, so smile - always, and treat everyday like it's your last.

Which hospital is he in? I work at Royal Berks and we've been awarded the top marks nationally for our cardiac care so if he's there he'll be in good hands. If you are coming to visit let me know when and maybe I can sneak out and we can grab a coffee.

Small world Homer - just got back from Royal Berks CCU seeing him - he's in Bay 1 by the window, but hopefully he's being discharged tomorrow - he said the Paramedic told him about the Top marks in the ambulance on the way :)
Apparently the Cardiac Head honcho was in on Sun night and did the operation when he arrived, so another good bit of luck.

Seriously though, thanks all for the various good wishes
- he thinks he might be out in a buggy in a month or two's time - that's the spirit :)

Blimey Homer - what do you do ?
Recruitment in a cardiac unit - that's a sharp businessman :)
Cheers

We must arrange a game sometime - i am quite tempted to see what "new" Ascot has to offer

I recruit all the nursing staff (except the doctors - they are a different breed and have their own rules). Anyone from healthcare assistants, staff nurses, radiographers etc. My area covers cardiology, Berkshire Cancer Centre and the medicine division. Gets me out of and about. Anytime you fancy a game give me a shout. I'm playing with fourputt on the day of the Royal Wedding if you fancy joining us? (you ok with this fourputt?)
