Not a happy bunny, is there anything we can do to prevent unauthorised scum using our debit card details, all Sony seem to advise is keeping a close eye on your account, i'd prefer to stop theieves using it in the first place, if possible.

If you have a DEBIT card linked to your account, I would call your bank immediately and let them know. They will be aware of the problems unless they live under a rock, since it's been on the National News.

If it's a credit card, it's not so much of an issue, as it's easier to get charges reversed, but it wouldn't hurt to call the credit card company anyway.

Just phoned my bank, they have an automated message for all Sony customers, it says that at present they do not believe enough personal info has been nicked to warrant blocking peoples cards, but they are working closely with Sony, and if anything changes they will update customers.

Well i have gone into my bank (natwest) today and said to them that playstation has been hacked and they got most of my bank information, and then asked if i could have a new card and block my current card. And they done that no problem just gotta wait for the card to come through now, 5 Working Days (but will be longer because of the bank hoilday, Stupid bloody wedding. lol)

Your card can be cloned anywhere you use it - your information is out there and accessible to those who want it.

I would still sooner put my details online, than use a chip and pin in Tesco.

I went and cancelled my card anyway, i can do without it for a few days if it means piece of mind.

Had mad panic over weekend, went out to dinner and card declined! Online bank no mention of account, vanished! Squeaky bum! Rang bank they say account is suspended as no funds, we have both just been paid, double squeaky bum! Get senior person on phone to find out what the he'll is going on, dodgy payment gone out, I'm having kittens as hadn't got round to cancelling my card, it's the bloody ps3 scam.

No I paid for new carpet on Wednesday for £450, odd payment account stopped! Account put back again after explaing, talk about give you a heart attack! Tore them a new one for not ringing me.
