Poulter - Too Cocky

I've grown to like him too, few years back with the silly outfits he just seemed to be seeking attention and not for his golf but over the last few years he's matured into a fine player, won some decent titles, excelled in head to head golf and is now very stylish rather than garish.
No one will back him down, epitomises the bulldog spirit even if his game isn't always up to it. Good role model and a character which professional sport in general is sadly lacking these days.

Don't think I like this bloke, he's just far too cock sure and full of himself. I know there's a fine line between confidence and being cocky, but he's not just a foot over the line but more like a triple jump.

I'm not a great fan, but he's certainly not the typical reserved Brit! Taste in clothes leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Love his single-mindedness and competitive spirit though.

Unless both legs are broken, I think he is a must-have for any Ryder Cup team!

Even less enamoured with Paul Casey, but he was treated badly by the Yanks for a mis-interpreted quote.

Poulters just brilliant,he's the main guy you want around you when things are tough,I know his clothes aren't to everyones taste, but neither is mine,so what.
lets just hope one of the brits bring back that trophy, the yanks would hate it..

Poults is probably my favourite player on tour at the moment.

Would love to see him win a Major, but his legacy is already secure IMO given his Ryder Cup performances.

I often wonder if he is that confident. Is it all an act to get himself going? Gee himself up a bit and back himself into a corner, where he has to come out all guns blazing.

That said, I like him. Go poults!

Just (half an hour ago) saw an interview with Poulter and some comments by Monty and Harmon.

Poulter comes across as honest and well focused - needing to improve his performance on the tough holes while continuing to perform as well as he has on the birdie-able ones. I'll be interested to see whether he can. I wish him (and Rose and Donald) well!
