POS Card readers

My iZettle card reader has decided to die. I could get the new paypal card reader so I continue as I was, but its £69 plus VAT.
Square an app that uses youor phone as a card reader. Has any of the self employed (tax paying) gentlemen (and ladies) used it or have any opinions or suggestions please?
PP is 1.75%, no contract and no extras for a face to face payment.

Never had an issue
Have a physical card machine, card reader, pair with your phone (bluetooth) for use.
But can also take card payments direct though my mobile phone too, by selecting tap to pay, rather than card reader.
Normally paid out to my bank account within 48hrs.

I am with Square and have a card reader. 1.75% (up from 1.5%) for F2F card payments.

I build this charge in to my pricing.

I have taken my youngest daughters now redundant izettle 2 reader (the same as mine) but this will work. I have also downloaded Square as I like the idea of not needing an extra card reader and using NFC on the phone. I will try both and see how Square goes. The fee is the same for both, so thats not too bad.
