Pitch marks.....

I had had never played more than 9 holes at Weybrook until the Pro-Am earlier this year and was really impressed. I could be biased because we won but it was in great shape and in Martin you have not only a good bloke running it but someone who knows about keeping a course well.

Glad you liked the course, i absolutely love it! Always in good condition and Martin has been first class sinve he arrived. I played the pro am too.....finished around 8th just outside the prizes :-( Will you be back to defend then!? Spread the word and see if we cab get a few more down for it.

Don't get me wrong i'm not moaning about the course....just select few that dont bother with pitch marks 👍

I have known some members who think that`s the green staffs job , not a lot more to add to that , i do mine and any other i see and there is always lots . When new members are played in this should be something those playing them in should check for and pointed out to them if they don`t repair them , Young golfers should have this in grained into them from day 1 as they learn the game . I make it a point these days to tell my FC to do the repairs .

Unrepaired pitch marks and Unraked bunkers are massive no-no's for me . I've now found myself openly pulling these offenders. I've had rounds ruinied by landing in Unraked bunkers and quite frankly am pissed off with repairing everyone else's pitch marks.

I will now openly pull up any offenders of said crimes and by openly quite often in front of other playing partners. If it embarrasses them I couldn't care, why should I be repairing 5/6/7 pitch marks on greens to these lazy (edited this to save multiple infractions) do not have to.:sbox:

I played at my away club early in the season and they had a box of pitch repaires next to cards ,they were free ,which I thought was a good idea as it gave players a reminder to take care of the greens.

Not going to eradicate the problem but any little helps.

Plenty of unrepaired marks again yesterday. Not getting any better... and yes we have new signs in the locker room showing how it should be repaired and reminding members to do so
