the G being bigger and chunkier, more for the higher handicap range.
I think this is a misconception, the G series is for any golfer, they are superb clubs and shouldn’t be abandoned just because your handicap was lowered with them beyond some indeterminate threshold.
I seem to recall Lee Westwood playing with G10‘s for some time. Heard a story that they were ‘rebadged’ when newer, sleeker, models were released as he didn‘t want to change from them.It's not a misconception, it's fact, they are generally aimed at higher handicappers than the i series.
However, as already mentioned, every golfer should be open minded and use whatever they like and whatever they feel is best for them.
