Ping G15 driver making funny noise

My driver has started to make a dull thud noise rather than the usual high pitched snap.
I'm worried it might be broke. I put some impact tape on and all shots are coming out of the screws so it's not my
dodgy striking.
Could it have cracked inside? There are no visible signs of damage on the outside
Anybody experianced this before?

Difference between hitting warmer (therefore softer) balls in summer and cold (denser) balls in Winter??

Noticed it down the range mate... Usual rock hard range balls. But it's never made that sound there before.

Could be a hairline crack. sounds like it. Could be so small you can not see it.

oh well looks like an excuse to look at a new 910.
Do you think ping would exchange it if it has failed structurally?

It's worth a try with ping first. Try your local retailer who can send it away for you.

i think they would especially as there is clearly no signs of it being hit on something to cause it.

i'd find out for sure,how is your shots flying,are they as normak even with the different sound?
