Has anyone who played against ping been for the fitting yet?

Is anyone going to accept the offer to visit the factory and be fitted, and if I heard them right, play a round on the day too?

I am certainly going to be making the trip but wondered if anyone else was going it might be worth making a day of it.

I just don't know when I'm going to get the chance. It's about 5-6 hours drive to get there, and they suggested it would be good to arrive late morning, I think.

So leaving about 6.00 am to get there for 11.30, fitting and tour etc. Out playing at 1.30 if I'm lucky.

Play till 5.00 then home by midnight.

I really want to do it, but I can't see a way of making the logistics work.

:(

And I haven't even found a demo day down south this year either

:( :(

Hey Tony

I'm booked in for my fitting on the 10th May at about 12'ish. Dave did offer the free round of golf with it but I cant make the timings fit my schedule.

I'll let you know how it all went.

I'm definitely going, just don't know when. I'd quite like to go up, get fitted, tour the factory, play a round of golf, stay over night at a £29 premier inn then pick up the club the next day, play another round of golf with it...then drive home. Sounds do-able as it'll make it worth the petrol money then. Don't know if they can make a club that quick though :D

I must admit, I was assuming they'd make the club in an hour or so, same as they do from the van.

So you get fitted pre lunch, then take the club out with you in the pm.

Or is that just me being stoopid ?

I'm meant to have the Scottish rep fit me. He told me a couple of weeks ago that he'd get back to me with dates, still waiting but looking forward to it.

Still think I prefer G15 over I15.

Its nor far from Forest Pines if you were playing in that event.

But I'm not, so it is. :(

I think the club would be ready by the time you finished a round of golf. The longest part is just waiting for the grip glue to dry so they usually say dont use for 24 hours.

I am up for a game, its only a 2 hour drive for me and if someone else was up for the fitting and tour, game of golf at same time, i'd make the trip.

Justin, we should discuss dates and throw the idea to them, Smiffy? you could come up with justin!
