Hi, does anyone have any idea what's happening at Pineridge. Great course but lacking some TLC just lately, I've heard that it's possibly closing down to accommodate a relocated Frimley hospital. Recent visits show more focus on the driving range than the course plus a lack of pro shop giving a lack of atmosphere around the place. Shame really, could be a fantastic golf venue.

As far as I’m aware that’s still pure speculation, the range absolutely takes in cash and is always really busy. My Wife and I go at least once a week together of an evening and it’s rammed, even when I use it during the day it’s busy.

I haven’t played the course myself but doesn’t seem to be quiet whenever I’m there leats a full car park. Lack of Pro Shop isn’t really an issue as it’s a resort style course with no real membership plus there a big AG shop literally 5 mins way at the end of the road into Camberley so they would be out priced anyway.

Frimley Park still has no confirmed detail on development from what I’ve heard so it’s very much rumours only.

Particularly busy at the weekends, as they have a lot of pay & play/social golfers, so would be surprised if they get rid - at one point, it was the main Crown Golf headquarters but not sure now after CG sold a load of their courses.
Last thing I saw re the Frimley Park relocation was the land where the old Johnson & Johnson building was but that was months ago - it definitely needs an upgrade, as the parking at the current site is a bunfight

I'd be hugely surprised if it closed down, it must be a massive cash cow for Crown Golf, we play it regularly at £55 a head and it's always busy.

Parking at most hospitals is inadequate as they seem to be expanding hospital buildings to every last available inch of the footprint.
