Mrs Woo informs me last night that we are going to see Peter Allis when he comes to Swindon. Apparently she booked tickets on Sunday eve whilst I was somewhat worse for wear, due to golf and the big footie match and the unavoidable huge intake of lager associated with these two activities.
Has anyone been to his show, as not sure what to expect?
Obviously the guy has a huge history in golf but how does this translate to the stage?

In fact, during the Open he suggested he wasn't exactly pro-twitter.

Should be a decent night out. Although he might be losing it in the commentary box I'm sure he'll still have some very good and funny stories to tell. He was always a very good orator

I went to see him in Tunbridge Wells about 6 months ago.

He spent the first half of his show talking about himself, his Dad, Grandad etc. It was like a lecture. The second half of the show was more interactive.

It was not as good as I hoped, I was expecting lots of stories, anecdotes, behind the scenes stuff - which did not really transpire. A few people asked stupid questions and monopolised his time - which was a shame.

However, it was interesting for the most part and I would say all in all, it was a good way to spend a Monday evening for and worth a tenner.
