I had TW06 and a Links golf about a decade ago.

Cool. I don't have the TW06 disk, but I might get it again, or another one, I guess.

Are the download courses as good as the one's in the game?

I always found them to be variable. Some of them were truly beautiful representations and some even bettered the in-game courses. Others were just not worth the download at all.

I've been in a similar position to you for the past few months, hoping for a decent PC-based golf game as Tiger Woods is just an arcade game these days. Links was always my preferred choice until Microsoft let it go. I played Tiger Woods up until 2008.

If anyone had TW 05 or 06 and downloaded courses from Coursedownloads.com they had the better experience than those who just played stock courses (and you may even have tried one of mine!).

I remember once going online and about 3/4 of the official EA server games were being played on one of my courses! Truly a special moment!
