All over the news last night and today with video footage, two scroats armed with knives apparently try to carjack Ozil. Kolasinac jumps out of the car and chases them off. A "brave" thing to do? I don't know? Why get out of the car at all? Lock the doors and call the police, knock them off the moped with the car.... there must be other options, certainly wouldn't suggest to anyone to jump out and try taking on someone with a knife, let alone two, utter madness if you ask me :eek:. But he did, fortunately not hurt in the process and of course now seen as a hero. He certainly gets my vote to take over the Arsenal captaincy from Koscielny if he stands up for his team mates like that.. If you haven't seen it, the video is in this link.

No surprise it appears that it is Kolasinac taking a proactive role... Whilst Ozil sits tight...

Seriously though, bit of a foolish though understandable reaction... A mate of mine nearly lost his life when he fought back when some lowlifes tried to rob him of his wristwatch...

Reckless decision making under pressure. I’d say as a Man Utd fan he would make a perfect captain for Arsenal 👍🏻

It's a bit silly to confront people with knives, but Kola is Bosnian, hard as nails, and built like a brick out house.

Last time I checked a knife cuts through muscle or fat exactly the same

You beat me to it, it's almost like it's bred into them someone had a pop at you stand your ground.

That it does and it hurts a bloody lot.

However in some cases in can pay to be the aggressor to catch the element of surprise and in this case it worked out. Was it brave or stupid, possibly a bit of both. However hats off to him for actions have prevented something that could have been far worse.

Oh 100% hats off to the guy. Massive respect

Lots of people calling out Ozil on social media for driving off. He had the 2 wives in the car with them. He did the right thing away

Lucky no one was hurt but if anyone was I doubt the 3 in the car would have been

I think all those calling Ozil out are also in the wrong. Nobody until they've been in that situation can tell what they'd do, it's a lot of keyboard warrior bravado. Ozil made a wise choice didn't want to put himself or them in harms way.

Typical of ozil seeing the bigger picture 😂 when others go ball watching

Apparently in a q and a at Arsenal a while ago, Ozil and Auba were asked, who would back you up in a fight? Both answered Kolasinac. Turns out, they were right.
