OPFL - Old Patrick57 Flight Laws - versus Trackman

I can see it now

Lesson 2 itinery

The flop shot over a bunker, from a tight lie, with a 64* wide open wedge to a pin thats short sided you

The Tiger Woods stinger, with a blade 2 iron.

How to get the best out of a starter set of Dunlops and hit your 7 iron 220 yards.

How to hit a high "Bubba" draw to the 17th at Sawgrass and be pin high every time.

Thats 20 minutes well spent!

Fixed that for you Chris

I'm heading out to coach repeat customers right now. I'm working through to 7.30 p.m. and I may then answer these naive questions.

If you're such a good teacher as to be able to teach different ball flights to a beginner on lesson one - why do any need to come back for repeat lessons?

After 45 mins, I think we had made a slight improvement.

 Nice, I like that.... are you SURE you didn't hire a pro and stage that? :D

Compresses in transition, club comes down on plane, left hip clears (a lot!), right arm tucked in...... LOLOLOLOL..... Nice...

2 more lessons and I reckon you'll get her on tour! :)

.... or on your lap

I recently had a complete beginner for a lesson.
This was her first attempt

Would I then move on and teach her how to draw and fade the ball in the same lesson? Not on your Nelly

You mean you didnt have this women hitting beautiful draws and fades within 45 mins?! and you call yourself a pro bob - hang your head in shame.

Patrick serious question - do you take copious amounts of hallucinagenic drugs?

Would you teach a novice snooker player how to bend the cue ball around another, both ways, before they learn how to hit a straight ball with a correct, smooth cue action?
I am by the way the worlds worst snooker player before anyone asks me for lessons.

Patrick's posting style, with the nonsense he writes & the multiple quotes he uses, reminds me of that fella Gilbert who caused some waves last year....I wonder

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that our resident pro, Bob, has probably forgotten more than you'll ever know as regards teaching.

In fact you could probably write what you know on the back of a postage stamp.

As I have given over 40,000 private lessons... I doubt Bob could hold my torch.

Why on gods green earth, during their first lesson, would you teach someone shot shaping.

I would have thought a run through of the basics would be a better use of time?

Obviously not!

What's in their second ever lesson?

Without a knowledge of shot shaping how do you stop someone from slicing or hooking a ball?

Their second lesson would involve refining what they learned in the first lesson. As we can't lick this sport, there's always something to learn.

I was a very good snooker player in my youth and was a regular 1/2 century breaker. Bending a ball around another - both ways - is a rather simple shot that I wouldn't hesitate to teach any Tom, Dick or Harry.

I can see the sarcasm in your words. I say, "do unto others as you would like them to do unto others." I thinks.
