Having played a bit in FL, I have always wondered how dangerous they really are. Clearly the answer is they are dangerous enough. I have nearly trodden on one several times. They always look a bit dopey. I won't be sticking my arm (or any other bit of me) in a pond again.
I would insist on a smart new pair of shoes and a belt from the gators skin after they retreived the arm. Although they may need to be velcro fastening!!!!
