Olympic stadium

I'd forgotten I'd gone to the commonwealth games in Glasgow. Stadium was very good indeed. The park and ride to it was a shambles but the stadium itself was great.

For me its the mentality of a minor group of fans that are ruining it.. I have been twice to the new ground and I love it.. wicked transport links.. had a decent view from my seat. Just seems like people like a good old moan and some people just go to football games for a fight.. its pathetic

also the polices little "oh the radios dont work so we wont attend" cop out.. bunch of muppets.. not being addressed until feb apparently.. they showed up against chelsea because they parked a van in the car park to boost their radios..

Things need ironing out.. worked fine for citeh and their stadium no reason it cant work again

The fact that its hosting the world championships or indeed has created so many "memories" is irrelevant. It's a colossal white elephant that the public will be paying for decades in the future. It's not fit for purpose as a football stadium and the violent minority have already seen the flaws and looked to capitalise. West Ham, and the owners have a duty of care to ensure it's a safe environment to watch football. even though it's not what it's set out to do and need to do lots more than they are currently doing to achieve this

To be honest LB, it was not rocket science re what Manchester City council did re the deal with city and what was formerly known as the city of Manchester stadium. Make sure they had a tenant before they built the stadium. Not only that I believe the stadium was designed with the option of being able to extend the stadium, which they have done and may well do again. Having said all that, it beggars belief that London now have a ground which at the moment is not fit for purpose having seen what has happened to other Olympic stadiums and some World Cup stadiums.
As a stadium it was one I really fancied going to re watching City in an away game and having a weekend in London village. Unfortunately I now ask myself one question. Do I fancy the possibility having my head kicked in whilst watching my team. No not really.

Exactly mate, true northern penny-pinching, and plenty of imagination.

Maybe we can export it down south, possibly via a mega-expensive rail link.......oh.:D
