• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

Oh the joys of being an Everton fan!

I do feel sorry for Everton. What Moyes has achieved in those circumstances is staggering. Drenthe is a good player though just never got a sniff at Madrid, so your left flank will be awesome.

As for me...well I'm a Hammer so beaming from ear to ear after yesterday!!!

Peltier was one of our best signings IMO. Thought we would of brought in more in te window a little disappointed with all the players we were linked with but happy with beckford, although I too have heard he can be selfish and a bit of a trouble maker ie Leeds days etc. Hope he does the biz with nugent out for a while.

I'm not too bothered about Arteta leaving, obviously I would of preferred him to stay, but I honestly feel his best years are behind him now, although a couple of more million would of been nice, he also deserves a crack at CL football.

However, the Beckford one has me fuming, we are already light in that position, his goals to minutes ratio last season was superb for his first season in the prem. He had genuine pace and got into great positions. He has also gone for a believed 2.5-3 million, which could rise to 4, I would defiantly of kept hold of him for that price and played him in a 442 to see the best of him.

Alot of foxes fans on the forum were moaning about him only scoring ten goals but as I posted there how many appearances were sub etc! His goals to minutes must have been good. I can't believe the fire sale everton have had, especially in the striker dept with yukubu going aswell, it's not like you've been scoring goals for fin is it!

Pure sickner mate ,, Saha when fit is a good CF but is geting past it & never fit for long enough ,, can play timmy c up front with felli .. Hope this argie boy is as good as he is made out to be .. shoulda sold the russian billy to some one .. waste of dosh .. at least the bank happier now with artetas 75k a week off the books .. seemingly yak was on big bucks too .. they giving us dosh to spend in jan .. yipeeee.. yeah ,, beckford we should not have sold ..

Agree with everything you've said there! If we can get 20+ starts from Saha that'l be an achievement!

Yeah should spend a bit in Jan in Moyes gets it! instead of paying off our massive overdraft :D

I wouldn't bank on us signing anybody in January. I'd say were more likely to lose fellaini and a couple of others.

Beckfords stats in prem were a goal every 176 minutes, that's 1 in 2 games and you lot sold him! Hope he comes good for us but I still have a niggle that says our season is going to be a disappointment.

I'd have kept him ideally, but sad to say it was too big an offer for a player we got on a free when you have the debt we do.

He was OK at Prem level, and think he'll score a hat full for you, especially as he's now used to playing at a higher level.

I hope Becks does well, wish him all the best. He left us with a few memories in such a short space of time.

And hangover I realy agree and its such a shame, I don't think Moyes has had a net spend for years, even as long back as Beattie etc were funded by other sales.

I go to Old Trafford quite a bit with work in the corporate bit, som you get some of the players in there. Apparently, United offered Darren Gibson plus 3 million for Ross Barkley, seems we're desperate but not that desperate !
