Been thinking about upgrading my current MX 200's to MP 53's but now i'm in two minds, I was in Decathlon
last week and in the demonstration club rack was an MP 62 six iron which looked brand new for £9.00 so I bought it, now being a 19 handicapper I thought lets take it to the range and compare it to my existing six iron, as these are better player clubs specifically for low handicaps there should be no way I could hit them as well as my current irons but I was pleasantly surprised I will admit that distance wise the 62 came up slightly shorter than the 200's this could be down to the the shafts i play s300 as apposed to reg but as far as dispersion goes there was no difference, this has now thrown the cat amongst the pigeons as far as my choice of iron for the future and will now try all the iron choices within the Mizuno range rather than those that are supposedly just for better players.

You should be able to get better distance with Game improvement clubs if you can hit them out the middle, the difference between them and a good set of muscle blades is that the blades will give fairly repeatable distances and you will feel the bad shots more. The GI clubs can easily give a difference of 5 yards if the ball is a little off centre but with no feel in the bad shot.
