so i went off to the club so have a game on a great sunny bank holiday monday (sarcasm!!!!), saw the guy ive been playing with quite a lot and told him i was going to put in another card to get my h/cap down. been playing pretty well of late so sure i can drop a few shots soon. when i told him my plan, he said not to bother with putting in a card, only do it on comps. his reason being that if im playing better, i might as well take a bit of money in the process THEN get my h/cap down after. I just went along with him as im quite new to it all!!
but really, my aim is purely to get my h/cap as ow as possible. i would been like a right bandit if i was in a comp off 27 but really knew i should be off 25(ish).
thoughts please

My aim is to get handicap down as low as possible (failing miserably at the min ) Prizes or even the few bob won off the lads would only mean something if i won it fair n square tho , Going back years ago when i handed in my score card for my handicap , i got a shock when the h'cap secretary of the club rang me to say he apreciated the honesty of my cards , got 14 i think it was & it was the lowest he had ever given to a new member , Do it right , practice a bit , youl get better & the prizes will happen off the h'cap you should have ..

If you follow that guys advice you may as well buy a donkey & sombrero , grow a big moustache and change your name to Pedro Gonzales.

Its just wrong, In Golf you do things properly or dont bother

Now dont just stand there, get those cards in

Fragger :D
