Up in Chesterfield at the moment and thinking may be free to have a knock on Thursday if anyone in the area able and willing to host a visitor.

I would have hosted you at Kedleston (Derby) but unfortunately I can't get any time off at the end of the month...it's when I actually have to do some work.

Well played today Hugh. There was some good golf played. You beat me today unless it was a scratch game ? in which case was it a tie? Hope you enjoyed the course, shame it was a bit wet. Roll on next summer.

Thoroughly enjoyed our knock today @Jason…yes course was a bit wet underfoot in places but still well playable and I especially enjoyed the par 3s (probably as I made less of a hash of them than I normally make of par 3s these days ?). Thankyou indeed for hosting me, and showing me where to go - always handy when playing a new track.?

That would be great. Have you played in the Kedleston Goose? Looks a long course off the back tees?
Yes a few times, bit I'm not good enough to compete for the gross prizes.
We play half a dozen or so games off the back tees. It's around 7,000 yds. Biggest difference is that 2 of the par 5's become par 4's of about 490yds, so becomes a par 70. Which is about right for the big hitters, of which I'm not one anymore.
