Anybody on here members?.just a few questions what’s it like in winter temp green mats on fairways, trolly bans etc etc
I ask because a few pals are on about joining and I may follow.
Thanks

Previous member. Avoid. Gets very very wet in winter, they use fairway mats but run full greens year round (even when frozen solid).
The pro is a really nice chap though, best in the area IMO. Just a shame the club/course don’t support him more

Only played in summer, thought it was decent.
Don’t know how close you are to Woolley, but that’s good all year round.

Keep meaning to play Oulton Hall.
Woolley Park is definitely worth the trip, only 5 mins off M1.
Silkstone is also a decent course, again only 5mins off M1.

Only other club I would put forward would be woodthorpe.(Wakefield GC)
Avoid Waterton, very much the same as Normanton.

You live in a tricky area for golf courses. Not a lot of good courses unless you head towards Leeds more or York.

I would go north Leeds as it's about 30 minutes/10 miles away but the other lads come from birstall way so north Leeds is a bit to far for them.
