How do you get your handicap competitive again? I was under the impression playing 3 QR'S would get me back my C. However, played my third on Saturday and having just checked HDID there is still no C appearing next to my HC. Is it not 3 QR'S? I did have a quick trawl on Google but didn't find a great deal that I understood. Clearly wasn't wording my search well enough to get what I wanted to come up. Anybody care to shed any light?

Cheers

Has the third competition on Saturday been closed already ?

C status should be gained once 54 holes of qualifying golf has been completed

Normally you will need to mark your three cards as 'HCP' and it's always a good idea to clip them all together when posting as if they are separate it may not be obvious to the HCP Secretary that you are entering them to activate your handicap. I suggest you call the HCP Secratary and ask about them.

If you weren't C status while playing your 3rd round, I can't see why it should say C on the results.

Would you not become C status after your 3rd round and when you start your 4th it should be in place?

I would have thought the same.

I'm not sure, I wasn't expecting it to say C in the results. Just when checking my profile I assumed that after the 3 QR'S were complete I would have my C back. Can't see what difference starting the 4th QR would make. Suppose we will see on Wednesday.

...

This! Expect to see a 'C' beside your result in the next comp! Or in an inquiry on your record (some systems only).

It's AFTER 3 competitive rounds. The 'lack of "C"' still applies to that 3rd round.

I'm currently in the process of reactivating my handicap. I played my first competition towards this yesterday. Am I right in thinking that I can submit two supplementaries to help get me back competing?

Ah right, so in the results of my next comp my C should be there. I thought it would automatically change on HDID after 3 qrs. Cheers people.

Yes you can submit one Supplementary each week and two will get back the C status.

He's not submitting cards for a handicap allocation...
