Nike ditch Lance Armstrong

A week after Nike said they would "continue to support Lance and the Lance Armstrong Foundation" they have today terminated his contract "due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Armstrong participated in doping"

The whole house of cards has fallen around his ears. I cant decide if I am more angry than sad ( not for him, but for his supporters like me who read the books and bought into this "supposed" sporting phenomenon)

Nike managed to pick Tiger and Lance. Tremendous for their brand image. They have held onto Tiger because he makes them so much money. Not a fan of Nike stuff anyway....

My understanding was that his idea of 'innocent' was "I know what I did enhanced my performance but a) it wasn't deemed illegal and b) everyone else was doing it therefor I'm innocent"...

Correct me if I'm wrong?
