Anyone here got a strong interest in NFL? I tried searching for a thread in out of bounds but to no avail.

If anyone is interested, put what teams you follow and any favourite players etc?

Personally, i follow the saints as the season they won the superbowl was the first season i watched properly. Reggie bush was one of my favourite players till he left the Saints.. Fav 5 now is probably Drew Brees, Darren Sproles, Jimmy Graham, Frank Gore and Troy Polamalu. Quite like Cam Newton too

Yup. Massive Seahawks fan here. Lived in Seattle back when I was a teen for 6 months. Fell in love with the city and the Seahawks.

Die hard fan since. Free Agency starts today! yay!

Swanny32 is your man!! Eagles fan if I'm not wrong!! I follow the Rams but not religously.

I see! might have to get him on this thread! oh cool nice to see different teams like the rams come up!

Aztecs27: I envy you for living over there. I've been lucky and been there on holiday once a year last few years but i'd love to live in america. Seahawks is another one I dont hear many people following! I feel like a bit of a gloryhunter now haha. Yeah i just see about the free agency on the nfl site, where do you think manning will go?

Anywhere but the Cardinals is good for me! I do not want him in our division.

Yea, Seattle is my favourite place in the world, I could not love the city more. And Qwest/CenturyLink field is as loud as everyone says it is. An incredible place to watch a game of football.

I used to play for the local team here in Bristol too before golf took over my life again. Football is my second passion, right behind golf. My other half hates it! Lol

followed it since I was a young teen. 49'ers are my faves, back in the day when they had a certain Mr Montana as qb. Don't watch so much now but still watch all the superbowl live.

Also played Madden to death on the mega drive (if that counts)

Yeah wouldn't make it any easier for the seahawks would it! I think it would be interesting if he goes to Denver considering they said Tebow would be traded if they signed Manning?

One of my friends has just started playing for the Essex Spartans, not sure what standard the football is but he's enjoying it. Yeah I love all sports really lol

I've been to New York, and did a fly-drive through California stopping at Vegas and Lake Havasu in Arizona, and i've been to disneyland florida! haha. If i had the chance to move anywhere in America i'd be torn between New York and San Diego. Both really nice cities. I haven't had the chance to go to an NFL game yet :( i've been to a baseball game and 2 nba games though!

Ah Im 20 so don't know much about the past of the nfl! but yeah i play madden to death on the xbox!

I started watching it a long time ago when I liked a flutter, because your money lasts longer than most other sports!!

I also played Madden a bit and my favourite player was Marshall Faulk, so my favourite team was the Colts, and that was when they were whipping boys (before this year!).
I loved watching the circus that was the Rams, and like watching other offense based teams, but in the last couple of years have found myself liking the Ravens too for some strange reason.

I know it would never have happened, but looking at the Colts season last year without their QB makes him the epitomy of what I think an MVP should be, and he didn't play. I know some of them are getting on a bit now but I didn't notice much else had changed from previous successful seasons.

Started to get into it as soon as it was shown in the UK. Picked the Redskins because I liked Joe Theismann and the way he sort of shot he's mouth off before performing and it reminded me in some peculiar way of Lee Trevino (don't ask - just the way my mind works). Great for a while but it hasn't been a bundle of laughs being a Skin fan lately.

I also support/follow the Chargers because the sister-in-law is out there. At least they gave me a run for my money most seasons. I'm another who has to get Madden each year and love the game to bits both virtual and on TV.

I've never really bet on american football before but i know a few friends that do regularly and seem to always win! yeah i like watching teams with strong offense aswell so the saints this season have suited me perfectly. Yeah i was shocked at the colts this year i didn't even know how bad they were doing till about week 10!

anotherdouble: i dont know many raiders fans nowadays.. probably because of the last few years as you say. but it can all change in a few seasons so might happen soon for them.

HomerJSimpson: My dads a skins fan too. He's followed them for years. i like the chargers too with bradford i think it is? the young player. yeah i think the madden games get better every year, always worth the money.

Seahawks for me although not done much for a while.....

I often flivck from the US golf to the NFL on a Sunday night. Love it.

Steady on...they're rebuilding! On the cusp of something special I think...mark my words and watch this space.

Plus we've just re-signed our two biggest free agents, all is good. We just need a QB to throw the ball. Hopefully we'll sign Matt Flynn from green by in the next day or two.

Followed it since the 80's.
Eagles for me (just like BWFC, they never fail to disappoint - thisyear, this year).
Was lucky enough to go to a Superbowl many moons ago - fabulous experience.

I also got into it when it was first shown on Channel 4 (remember the round up on the Sunday highlights show with Eurythmics Sweet Dreams music).

Fave player was Dan Marino and of course his favourite receiver Mark "super" Duper. Was gutted when the Dolphins lost the Super Bowl to the 49ers. Some great players back then: Walter Payton (RIP), Jerry Rice, Lawrence Taylor, Marcus Allen, I even got an official Rule Book as a Chrissy pressie from HID's American brother-in-law.

Trouble is I couldn't keep up with all the new players and the changes to the teams so I gradually lost touch and interest. Still watch it now and again but not with the same level of enthusiasm.

Lived in Washington D.C. for 4 years so I'm a redskins fan, as homer said we aint doing great atm...
