Not a classic. Definitely a red card for me for Tiote. Sunderland do play the typical O'Neill way which I've never liked but I do like the way Newscastle are trying to play under Pardew. I think both sides will be mid table with no dramas

We will finish well clear of Sunderland at end of season. They needed our help to break us down with only 10 men with that jammy goal.Demba Ba had no chance it hitting his face off O'Sheas header. They had no class or quality to get at us even Adam Johnson their best footballer was subbed after getting no joy.

The commentators said it was a good game and Niall Quinn (Sunderland through and through ) gave a cracking appraisal of the game in my view.He said it was a relief for Sunderland to get a draw as Newcastle handled the situation very well afterr Tiote was sent off.
They just cant hardly ever beat us,and it rankles with them so much.

I'm coming down from Scotland for the Bruuge game on Thursday, would have went today but I couldn't get the time off.

Roll on Thursday.

Also that ref today what a joke.In a DERBY he books 4 Newcastle players sends another 1 off and does nowt against any mackem player.Nowt against that dangerous kick in the chest on Amoebi in the 1st half.Pathetic.

The Ameobi one was accidental but could easily have been a yellow. What about the Swan Lake performance from Guiterrez at the end - jumped up vertically with no one around him and started rolling about??

Tiote deserved to go - wreckless. How he can complain after his reaction to Sess last year beggars belief.

I wish we had your midfield though; ours is absolute crap at the moment. We get nothing from Sess, Johnson or Mclean at the moment and they need to start performing soon.

Poor? An unjust sending off and a well fought point by a ten man team....you're obviously not a football fan.

Next time your up at Sharpley, give me a shout (Nicky) - I run a special service for Newcastle fans where I bend their irons in a way that is guaranteed to ADD shots to your score!

Hahahaha class!

As much as it galls a Boro fan to say it, I enjoyed the game. Both sides had good spells and TBH I thought Sunderland were the better team.

Aye agree with you on the Guiterrez thing.I'm surprised he was like that,he had a poor game too.

Tiote cost us big time.Agree bad bad tackle but he was being held/tugged by a Sunlan player behind him which would have aggravated him........I still think some refs might have given just a yellow.....but cant disagree with the red.

Yeah your midfield was very poor....particularly surprised how crap Johnson was.....then again we doubled up on him 1st half, good tactics by Pardew.I think on that performance the Mackems will struggle to get in top half of table.
