New Titleist Prov1 + Prov1x - Take a look

Don't tell me....

More spin, softer feel, more distance, tour trajectory, explosive off the tee da de da de daaa.

Some 24 handicapper will shoot 16 over the first time he plays with one and say "This new ball knocked 8 shots off my handicap".
He will forget to mention that the next week he shot 108.

What a load of bollocks

100% in agreement with the above comments. (Are you referring to me by any chance Smiffy? Must get down the range! ;))
What else can you improve in a bloody golf ball for Christ's sake?
Pointless me shelling out for ProV's. I save 50% and use AD333's. Don't mind playing Pro V's if I find 'em though. They play no different to the AD's to be fair, not at my standard anyhow.

Started playing ProV1x this season, only managed to get one round a full 18 holes, don't think I'll be placing any orders for these, back to Donnays if this keeps up

You can get Srixon AD333 on ebay for a quid a ball, including postage. Got to be a bargain for such a good ball.

You can get "Noodles" for a similar price, if not cheaper. Just as long off the tee but a tad softer around the greens. I prefer 'em
;)

But the embarrassment when the balls are thrown up for partners, and someone asks who's playing a noodle !

I've mentioned this before.
I usually play AD333's but this time, I reached into my bag and pulled out a Pinnacle I'd found earlier. Thought what the heck and played it.

I played the best round ever and got a cut to boot. The other bonus was I finished on the 18th with the same Pinnacle I started with. As a high handicapper I think it proves that it doesn't really matter what ball you play with, although I would have certainly reconsidered if I'd dipped in and pulled out a Donnay!!!
Even I know they feel like marbles!!!

To be fair chaps, Pro Vs are not aimed to be a chopper's ball, hence why it makes 'no difference' to your AD333s.

Personally, I went off Pro Vs until last year but have been back on them ever since as they do go further (about 20 yards than the Nikes I was on), have a softer feel and do spin more around the green, whilst still have a nice feeling for putts.

As Sam says, the Pro V is not made for the high/Mid Handicap player, we do not compress them enough to get what they can give to a faster swinger. That said, the Pro V is good for everyone around and on the green.
